How to Draw a Toy Brick

11 steps · Medium · about 8 min

Draw a toy brick in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.

Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the front.

Print

  1. Step 1: The front

A little below the middle of your paper draw a wide rectangle, about twice as wide as it is tall.

  2. Step 2: Happy face

On the front draw 2 big round eyes with a black dot. Add a U smile and 2 cheeks.

  3. Step 3: The top

Start at the top left corner. Slant up a little, go across, and slant down to the top right corner.

  4. Step 4: The side

Start at the back corner of the top. Draw a line straight down, then slant in to the bottom right.

  5. Step 5: Back studs

On the top draw 2 flat ovals. Start at each left end, curve under, back to the right end.

  6. Step 6: Front studs

In front draw 2 more studs: a flat oval, then start at its left end, curve under to the right.

  7. Step 7: Ground line

Draw a ground line across the paper, along the bottom of the brick.

  8. Step 8: Sparkles

Draw 3 sparkle stars around the brick: 4 points like a plus sign with curved sides.

  9. Step 9: Yellow stars, pink cheeks

Go over your lines. Colour the 3 sparkle stars yellow and the cheeks pink.

  10. Step 10: Red studs

Colour the 4 studs on the top red.

  11. Step 11: Red brick

Colour the front, top and side red, around the face and studs. Leave the eyes white.
