How to Draw a Switzerland Flag
Draw a switzerland flag in 10 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the flag pole.
Step 1: The flag pole
On the left draw a tall thin pole, from near the top of the paper down to near the bottom.
Step 2: Ball on top
Draw a small ball sitting on top of the pole.
Step 3: A square flag
Start on the pole below the ball. Draw a big square and stop back on the pole.
Tip The Swiss flag is a square: make it as tall as it is wide.
Step 4: A light cross
In the middle of the flag lightly draw a plus sign. Stop well before the edges.
Tip Press softly. Make all 4 arms of the plus sign the same length.
Step 5: Top and bottom arms
Start beside the middle. Draw up, across the end of the light line, and stop back down. Repeat below.
Tip Make each arm a little longer than it is wide.
Step 6: Side arms
Start where the top arm stops. Draw out, down across the end of the light line and back. Repeat opposite.
Tip All 4 arms are the same size, and none of them touches the edge of the flag.
Step 7: Ground line
Rub out the light plus sign. Draw a ground line under the pole from far left to far right.
Step 8: Yellow ball
Colour the ball on top of the pole yellow.
Step 9: Grey pole
Colour the pole grey.
Step 10: Red flag
Colour the flag red around the cross. Leave the cross white. Go over your lines. Your Swiss flag is done!
Tip Colour the red right up to the lines, with no white gaps.
