How to Draw a Scoreboard
Draw a scoreboard in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the big board.
Step 1: The big board
Across the top half of your paper draw a big wide box with soft corners.
Tip Make it wide: it has to hold 2 scores.
Step 2: Two score screens
In the bottom half of the board draw 2 big boxes side by side, with a gap between them.
Tip Make both boxes the same size.
Step 3: The clock screen
At the top of the board, in the middle, draw a small box for the clock.
Step 4: Home score
In the left screen write 27 in big numbers made of straight lines only.
Tip No curves: every number is short straight lines.
Step 5: Away score
In the right screen write 10 the same way: one tall line, then a tall box.
Step 6: Time left
In the small screen write 5:20 in small straight-line numbers, with 2 dots after the 5.
Tip Small numbers: take your time.
Step 7: The word HOME
Above the left screen write HOME in capital letters.
Tip Keep the letters the same height.
Step 8: The word AWAY
Above the right screen write AWAY in capital letters.
Step 9: Two posts
Start under the board, near each end. Draw 2 lines down for a post, stop level and join them.
Tip Make both posts the same width.
Step 10: The ground
Start left of the posts. Draw a ground line under both posts and stop on the right.
Step 11: Yellow screens
Go over your lines. Colour all 3 screens yellow, like lit-up lights.
Step 12: Grey posts
Colour the 2 posts grey.
Step 13: Blue board
Colour the board blue, around the 3 screens and the words. Game on!
