How to Draw a Supermarket
Draw a supermarket in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the big front.
Step 1: The big front
In the middle of your paper draw a big, extra-wide box for the front of the supermarket.
Step 2: The roof ledge
On top of the box draw a thin flat ledge along the top, sticking out a little past each side.
Step 3: The sign board
Under the roof ledge, in the middle, draw a big flat sign board: a wide box across the top.
Step 4: The name
Write MARKET in big capital letters across the sign board, as tall as the board.
Step 5: The long canopy
Under the sign draw a long flat canopy, wider at the bottom. Add a line along its front edge.
Step 6: Sliding doors
From the bottom line draw a doorway up, across and down to it. Add a middle line and one across.
Step 7: 2 big windows
Each side of the doors draw a big wide window: a long box with a line down and one across.
Step 8: The ground
Draw the ground line from each bottom corner out to the edge of the paper.
Step 9: Grass tufts
On the ground, between each wall and the paper's edge, draw a small tuft of 3 grass blades.
Step 10: Cream walls, yellow sign
Colour the walls cream around the sign, canopy, windows and doors. Colour the sign board yellow.
Step 11: Sky glass
Colour the 2 big windows and the sliding doors sky blue, like shiny glass.
Step 12: Red ledge and canopy
Colour the roof ledge and the canopy red. Your supermarket is done!

Your finished drawing
Follow the steps above and this is where you end up: a supermarket, drawn by you.
