How to Draw an Adobe House
Draw an adobe house in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the main box.
Step 1: The main box
In the middle of your paper draw a big box for the house. Round off the 2 top corners.
Step 2: The low side room
On the right draw a lower box joined to the big one. Round off its top corners too.
Step 3: Roof beams
Near the top of the big box draw 4 little square beam ends. Add 2 more on the low room.
Step 4: The door
In the middle of the big box draw a door with a rounded top. Add 2 plank lines.
Step 5: Windows
Draw a small square window on each side of the door, and 1 more in the low room.
Step 6: A ladder
On the low room's right side draw 2 ladder lines from its bottom to above its roof. Add 4 rungs.
Step 7: Chillies by the door
Left of the door draw a little hook. From it hang a short string down to 3 small curved chillies.
Step 8: Cactus and ground
On the left draw a tall 1-armed cactus from the ground up. Add ground lines out to each edge.
Step 9: The sun
Draw a round sun with 8 short rays in the top right.
Step 10: Clay walls, blue windows
Colour both boxes peach and the windows sky blue. Go around the door, beam ends and chillies.
Step 11: Wood door, yellow sun
Colour the door and the beam ends wood brown, and the sun yellow.
Step 12: Red chillies, green cactus
Colour the chillies red and the cactus green. Go over all your lines and your adobe house is done!
