How to Draw a Superhero
Draw a superhero in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the head.
Step 1: The head
Near the top of the paper, draw an egg for the head, a bit narrower at the chin.
Tip Leave most of the page below for the body, cape and legs.
Step 2: Mask and face
Across the middle of the head, draw a mask with 2 eye holes. Add 2 eyes and a smile.
Step 3: Hair tufts
Start left of the head's top. Draw 3 hair bumps. Join their ends with a hairline over the forehead.
Tip Rub out the head line inside the hair.
Step 4: Neck and cape
Draw 2 neck lines under the chin. From the left shoulder, draw a wavy cape back to the right one.
Step 5: The suit
Start at the left neck line. Draw shoulders, short sleeves, sides and waist, back up to the right neck line.
Step 6: Arms on hips
Start under each sleeve. Draw the arm bending out, ending in a fist on the hip. Add a thumb.
Step 7: Belt and star
Under the waist line, draw a belt line with a square buckle. Draw a 5-point star on the chest.
Step 8: Trouser legs
Start at the belt. Draw 2 trouser legs, narrower at the bottom. Stop low down, leaving room for the boots.
Step 9: Boots and ground
Draw a tall boot under each leg, toes pointing out. Draw a long ground line under the boots.
Step 10: Yellow and peach
Colour the star, belt, buckle and hair yellow. Colour the face, neck and fists peach, but not the mask.
Step 11: Blue suit, red cape
Colour the suit, arms and trousers blue around the star and belt. Colour the cape, mask and boots red.
Tip Leave the eyes white.
