How to Draw a Judge
Draw a judge in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the head.
Step 1: The head
Near the top of your paper draw an egg for the head, a little narrower at the chin.
Tip Leave most of the page below for the body.
Step 2: Face and glasses
In the middle of the head draw 2 big eyes, a tiny nose and a smile. Add round glasses.
Step 3: Short hair
Start on the left of the head. Draw tufts over the top and stop on the right. Add a hairline.
Step 4: Neck and long robe
Draw 2 short neck lines. From them draw a long robe that widens down to a hem near the bottom.
Step 5: Collar bands
Under the chin draw 2 tall narrow boxes side by side, hanging down onto the chest.
Step 6: Long sleeves
Start at each shoulder, stop at the armpit. Hang the right sleeve down and bend the left one up.
Tip Rub out the robe's shoulder lines inside the sleeves.
Step 7: Fists
Draw a round fist hanging from the right cuff. Draw a fist pointing up out of the left cuff.
Step 8: Gavel
Start on the left fist and draw a thick handle straight up. Stop under a wide block lying sideways.
Tip The gavel head is nearly as wide as the face.
Step 9: Shoes and ground
Under the hem draw a shoe on each side, toes pointing out. Draw a long ground line under them.
Step 10: Pink cheeks, peach skin
Go over your lines. Colour pink cheeks, then the face, neck and hands peach around them. Leave the eyes white.
Step 11: Grey hair, brown gavel
Colour the hair grey and the gavel brown.
Step 12: Navy robe, black shoes
Colour the robe and sleeves navy around the white collar bands, and the shoes black. Your judge is done!

Your finished drawing
Follow the steps above and this is where you end up: a judge, drawn by you.
