Step 2: Long curved bill
Start on the front of the head. Draw a long thin bill that curves down to a sharp point.
Step 3: One big eye
A finger behind the bill draw a big round eye. Fill it with a black dot, leaving a white shine.
Step 4: Plump body
Start on the back of the head. Curve down round a fat tummy. Stop on the head under the bill.
Tip The body hangs under the head like a fat egg, smaller than the head.

On the bottom of the body draw a little fan tail pointing down and back. Add 2 feather lines.
Step 6: Folded wing
Start under the head. Draw a U wing that stops on the back above the tail. Add 2 feather lines.
Step 7: Front leg

Step 8: Back leg

Step 9: Branch
Start on the left, under the toes. Draw a long branch across behind the toes and back along the bottom.

Tip Leave a little gap between the bill tip and the flower.
Step 11: Yellow tummy, red flower
Colour the chest and tummy bright yellow and the trumpet flower red.
Step 12: Teal head, green wing
