How to Draw a Sugar Cookie Star
Draw a sugar cookie star in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: a plate.
Step 1: A plate
Below the middle, draw a long flat oval plate, leaving space at both sides. Add a rim inside.
Step 2: The star cookie
Standing on the plate, draw a big fat 5-point star, wider than tall, with round points.
Tip Round the points: they are cookie, not paper.
Step 3: The thin edge
Under the arms and feet of the star, draw a second line a little below the cookie's edge, following it.
Step 4: The icing
Inside the cookie, draw a smaller star the same shape, a finger in from the edge, for the icing.
Step 5: Sprinkles
Draw 6 fat slanted ovals spread around the icing, one near each point and one near the middle.
Step 6: A shine
In the icing's left point, draw a shine curve under the top edge, from near the tip toward the middle.
Step 7: The table
Under the plate, draw a straight table line, a little longer than the plate on each side.
Step 8: Yellow sprinkles
Colour 3 of the sprinkles yellow, spread apart.
Step 9: Sky plate and sprinkles
Colour the other 3 sprinkles and the plate sky blue, around the cookie.
Step 10: Tan cookie
Colour the cookie and its thin edge tan, around the icing.
Step 11: Pink icing
Go over your lines, then colour the icing pink around the sprinkles. Your cookie is done!
