How to Draw Lo Mein
Draw lo mein in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the carton.
Step 1: The carton
In the middle of your paper draw a tall box, wider at the top than the bottom.
Tip Lo mein is soft noodles in a paper take-out carton.
Step 2: Two open flaps
From each top corner draw a little slanted flap folded out and up, like an ear.
Step 3: The wire handle
Start at the top of the left flap. Draw a thin arch up and over, stopping at the right flap.
Step 4: A heap of noodles
Start at the carton's top left corner. Draw little bumps up and over, ending at the top right corner.
Step 5: Noodle strands
Inside the heap draw 3 soft wavy lines, each starting and stopping inside the heap.
Step 6: Veggie bits
On the heap draw 2 tiny strips for spring onion and a tiny tilted square for carrot.
Step 7: Chopsticks
Above the heap draw 2 thin sticks leaning up to the right, with round tips over the noodles.
Step 8: Lifted noodles
Under each chopstick, just behind its tip, draw a fat wiggly noodle hanging down into the heap.
Step 9: The table
Draw a line under the carton from far left to far right, just touching its bottom.
Step 10: Yellow noodles, green onion
Colour the noodles yellow around the veggie bits, and the spring onion green. Leave the carton and its flaps white.
Step 11: Orange carrot, brown chopsticks
Colour the carrot orange and the chopsticks wood brown.
