How to Draw a Pear
Draw a pear in 10 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the pear.
Step 1: The pear
Near the top, draw a pear: a small round top that slopes out into a big round bottom.
Tip No line between the top and bottom: the sides slope gently.
Step 2: The stem
From the very top, draw a short stem with 2 lines close together, leaning a little right.
Step 3: A leaf
From the stem tip, draw a fat leaf pointing up right. Add a line down its middle.
Step 4: A shine
Inside the upper left of the big round, draw a short curved shine with round ends, like a tiny bean.
Step 5: Freckles
Dot 5 small filled freckles on the pear, spread out. None should touch the edge or the shine.
Step 6: The ground
Draw a ground line under the pear, just touching its bottom, from well left to well right.
Step 7: A shadow
Under the pear, draw a flat oval on the ground line, wider than its bottom. Rub out the line inside.
Step 8: Yellow pear
Go over your lines, then colour the pear yellow, leaving the shine white.
Step 9: Green leaf
Colour the leaf green.
Step 10: Brown stem, grey shadow
Colour the stem brown and the shadow grey.
