How to Draw a Stuffed Dog

13 steps · Medium · about 10 min

Draw a stuffed dog in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.

Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: big egg head.

Print

  1. Step 1: Big egg head

Near the top, draw a big head like an egg on its side, with fat round cheeks.

Tip The head is almost half of the whole dog.

  2. Step 2: Floppy ears

On each side of the head, draw a long floppy ear hanging down past the cheek to a round bottom.

  3. Step 3: Two big eyes

Across the middle of the head, draw 2 big round eyes. Add a black dot with a shine in each.

  4. Step 4: Muzzle and nose

Under the eyes, draw a wide oval muzzle, poking past the chin. Near its top, draw a round black nose.

  5. Step 5: Smile and tongue

From the nose, draw a short line down to a wide W smile. Hang a small round tongue under it.

  6. Step 6: Belly and tummy patch

Start under the left cheek. Draw a big pear body, widest low down, to the right cheek. Add a patch.

  7. Step 7: Hugging arms

Under each cheek, draw a fat sausage arm that bends in to a round mitten beside the tummy patch.

  8. Step 8: Haunches and feet

Halfway down each side of the belly, draw a round C haunch. Under it, draw a fat flat foot.

  9. Step 9: Toes and ground

On the outer end of each foot, draw 2 short toe lines. Draw a straight ground line under both feet.

  10. Step 10: Eye patch and seam

Draw a patch round the right eye. From the head top, draw a stitched seam, stopping above the eyes.

  11. Step 11: Bow and tail

Add a bow under the chin. From behind the right haunch, draw a tail thinning up to a round tip.

  12. Step 12: Cream and tan

Colour the muzzle, tummy patch and feet cream. Colour the head, body, arms, haunches and tail tan around them.

Tip Leave the eyes, tongue, eye patch and bow white for now.

  13. Step 13: Red bow, brown ears

Colour the tongue and the bow red. Colour the ears and eye patch brown. Keep the eyes white.
