How to Draw a Kitchen Scale
Draw a kitchen scale in 14 easy steps, about 11 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the body.
Step 1: The body
A little below the middle of your paper draw a box with soft corners, a bit wider than tall.
Step 2: The dial
On the front of the body draw a big round dial, nearly as tall as the body.
Step 3: Two big eyes
Just below the middle of the dial draw 2 big egg eyes. Colour a big black dot in each.
Step 4: Smile and cheeks
Under the eyes draw a small U smile. Add a tiny flat oval cheek beside each eye.
Step 5: Needle and ticks
Draw short dashes round the top of the dial. Under them draw a dot with a needle pointing up.
Step 6: The neck
On the middle of the body's top draw a small flat box for the neck.
Step 7: The bowl
Above the neck draw a wide flat oval. Add a U under it, from one end down to the other.
Step 8: Heap of flour
Start on the rim, in from the left end. Draw a soft heap, stopping in from the right end.
Step 9: Little feet
Under the body draw 2 small flat feet, one near each end.
Step 10: Ground line
Start a little in from the left edge. Draw a ground line under it, stopping near the right edge.
Step 11: Sparkles
Draw a few little four-point sparkles around it to make it shine.
Step 12: Pink cheeks, yellow sparkles
Colour the cheeks pink and the sparkles yellow.
Step 13: White flour, grey feet
Colour the flour white and the feet grey.
Step 14: Teal scale
Go over your lines, then colour the body, neck and bowl teal. Leave the dial white. Keep the eyes white.
