How to Draw a Floatie
Draw a floatie in 10 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: big ring.
Step 1: Big ring
Above the middle of your paper, draw a big circle as big as your hand. This is the swim ring.
Step 2: Hole
In the middle of the ring draw a smaller squashed oval for the hole you sit in.
Step 3: Two stripes
On the bottom-left, start on the hole and draw 2 lines out to the edge. Do the bottom-right too.
Step 4: Two more stripes
Draw a stripe on the top-left and top-right the same way: start on the hole, stop on the edge.
Step 5: Valve
On the right edge of the ring, between the stripes, draw a short tube poking out with a round cap.
Step 6: Shine
On the left side of the ring, between the stripes, draw a short curved shine line.
Step 7: Water
Start at the left edge. Draw a long wavy water line behind the ring and stop at the right edge.
Step 8: Splashes
Outside the ring draw 3 little splash drops, each a tiny teardrop with its point up.
Step 9: White ring, red stripes
Go over your lines. Colour the 4 stripes and the valve red, and leave the rest of the ring white.
Step 10: Blue water
Colour the water under the wavy line blue, around the ring, and the splash drops too.

Your finished drawing
Follow the steps above and this is where you end up: a floatie, drawn by you.
