How to Draw a Strongman
Draw a strongman in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the head.
Step 1: The head
Near the top of your paper, draw an egg for the head. Leave room above for the barbell.
Step 2: Face and moustache
Add 2 oval eyes, a U nose, a moustache and a smile below. Ears start and stop on the head.
Step 3: Neck and leotard
Start with 2 short neck lines under the chin. Draw a wide leotard with thin straps, back to the neck.
Step 4: Stripe and belt
Draw 2 lines across the leotard for a stripe. Add a line near the bottom for the belt.
Step 5: Big bent arms
From each shoulder, draw a thick arm with a round muscle. It bends up at the elbow and gets thinner.
Step 6: Fists
On top of each wrist, draw a round fist with a little thumb pointing in.
Step 7: Barbell
Above the head, draw a long thin bar behind the fists. Add a big round weight on each end.
Step 8: Shorts and legs
Draw short shorts under the leotard. From each leg hole, draw 2 curvy lines down to where the boots go.
Step 9: Boots and ground
Under each leg, draw a tall boot with the toe pointing out. Draw a long ground line under the boots.
Step 10: Peach skin
Colour the head, ears, neck, arms, fists and legs peach, around the moustache. Leave the eyes white.
Step 11: Grey weights, red leotard
Colour the bar and the two weights grey. Colour the leotard red above and below the stripe.
Step 12: Brown boots, black shorts
Colour the belt and the boots brown. Colour the stripe, the shorts and the moustache black.
