How to Draw a Strawberry

10 steps · Medium · about 8 min

Draw a strawberry in 10 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.

Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: plump berry.

Print

  1. Step 1: Plump berry

Draw a big berry with round shoulders and a soft round point at the bottom. Add a dip on top.

Tip Widest near the top, then curving in slowly to the point.

  2. Step 2: Middle leaf

From the dip on top, draw one pointy leaf hanging straight down. Rub out the berry line under it.

  3. Step 3: Side leaves

Draw a pointy leaf on each side of the middle leaf, leaning down over the shoulders.

  4. Step 4: The stalk

Start on the middle leaf. Draw a stalk up to a thin round tip and back down to the leaf.

Tip Keep it wide at the bottom, and rub out the berry line inside it.

  5. Step 5: Seeds

Scatter 6 little teardrop seeds, points down, in the middle of the berry.

Tip Leave a little space around every seed so none touch.

  6. Step 6: More seeds

Add 6 more seeds down the sides of the berry, 3 on each side.

  7. Step 7: The ground

Draw a long straight ground line that just touches the bottom of the berry.

  8. Step 8: Yellow seeds

Go over your lines, then colour all 12 seeds yellow.

  9. Step 9: Green leaves

Colour the 3 leaves and the stalk green.

  10. Step 10: Red berry

Colour the berry red around the seeds and leaves. Leave a little white shine on the top left.
