13 steps · Medium · about 10 min

Draw a roasted marshmallow in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.

Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the marshmallow.

Print

  1. Step 1: The marshmallow

A little above the middle, draw a fat soft pillow shape leaning up to the right like a slide.

Tip Soft and puffy, like a tiny cushion.

  2. Step 2: Round end

On the lower left end of the pillow, draw a flat oval as tall as the pillow, standing across it.

  3. Step 3: The stick

Draw a long stick from low on the left to the round end, and a short tip past the marshmallow.

  4. Step 4: Toasted side

Along the underside of the marshmallow, draw a soft wavy line from one end to the other.

  5. Step 5: Melty drip

Under the far end of the marshmallow, draw a small drip hanging down with a round bottom.

  6. Step 6: A shine

Near the top edge of the marshmallow, draw one short curved line for a shine.

  7. Step 7: The flame

Right under the marshmallow, draw a wobbly flame with a pointy tip at the top and a round bottom.

Tip Keep the tip of the flame a little away from the marshmallow.

  8. Step 8: Flame inside

Inside the big flame, draw a smaller pointy flame the same way.

  9. Step 9: Two logs

Under the flame, draw 2 short logs crossing like an X, with a tiny oval on each outer end.

  10. Step 10: Ground line

Start near the left edge and draw a long flat ground line under the logs to near the right edge.

  11. Step 11: White marshmallow, tan toast

Go over your lines. Leave the marshmallow white, and colour the toasted underside and the drip tan.

  12. Step 12: Yellow and orange flame

Colour the small flame yellow, then colour the big flame orange around it.

  13. Step 13: Wood stick and logs

Colour the stick and both logs wood brown, and your roasted marshmallow is done!
