How to Draw a Spaghetti Squash
Draw a spaghetti squash in 10 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the squash.
Step 1: The squash
Left of the middle draw a big smooth oval lying on its side, with blunt rounded ends.
Tip Inside a spaghetti squash the flesh pulls apart into strands, just like spaghetti.
Step 2: A stubby stem
On the left end draw a stubby stem sticking out, a little wider at its flat cut end.
Step 3: A shine
Inside the upper left of the oval draw a thin oval sliver for a shine, leaning with the curve.
Step 4: A cut half
On the right draw a long oval leaning on the squash, left end up high, right end on the ground.
Step 5: Thick rind
Inside the leaning oval draw a second oval, a finger inside the first all the way round, for the rind.
Step 6: Strands
Inside the rind draw 3 long wavy lines side by side. Start near the top end, stop near the bottom.
Step 7: More strands
Add 2 more wavy lines in the gaps. Start near the top end, stop near the bottom end.
Step 8: The ground
Draw a long ground line just touching the bottoms of both, lifting your pencil where it would cross them.
Step 9: Yellow squash
Go over your lines, then colour the squash and the rind of the half yellow. Leave the shine white.
Step 10: Cream strands, tan stem
Colour the strands inside the half cream and the stem tan, and your spaghetti squash is done!
