How to Draw a Store
Draw a store in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the shop front.
Step 1: The shop front
In the middle of your paper draw a big wide box for the front of the shop.
Tip A shop is wider than it is tall.
Step 2: The roof ledge
On top of the box draw a thin flat box that sticks out a little past each side.
Step 3: The door
On the right side draw a tall door standing on the bottom line. Add a small window and knob.
Step 4: The big window
On the left draw a big window, level with the door top. Draw a shelf line from side to side.
Step 5: The awning
Start on the wall above the window. Draw an awning across over the door, with 5 bumps along the bottom.
Step 6: Awning stripes
Draw 4 lines down the awning, from the top edge to each dip, so it has 5 stripes.
Step 7: The sign board
Between the roof ledge and the awning draw a long thin box for the sign.
Step 8: The shop name
Write SHOP in big capital letters across the sign board.
Step 9: Doorstep and ground
From the bottom line draw a doorstep over the door's foot, stopping on the line. Add grassy ground each side.
Step 10: Apples for sale
On the shelf in the window draw 3 round apples in a row.
Step 11: Cream walls, yellow sign
Colour the walls and every other awning stripe cream. Colour the sign yellow, around the letters.
Step 12: Sky windows, blue door
Colour the windows sky blue, around the apples. Colour the roof ledge, step and door blue, around its window.
Step 13: Red stripes, red apples
Colour the other awning stripes and the 3 apples red. Your shop is done!

Your finished drawing
Follow the steps above and this is where you end up: a store, drawn by you.
