How to Draw a Stopwatch
Draw a stopwatch in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the round case.
Step 1: The round case
In the middle of your paper draw a big circle, as big as your fist. This is the case.
Step 2: The dial ring
Inside the big circle draw a slightly smaller circle for the rim of the dial.
Step 3: Two big eyes
In the top half of the dial draw 2 big egg eyes. Colour a big black dot in each.
Step 4: Smile and cheeks
Under the eyes draw a U smile from eye to eye, and a small oval cheek beside each end.
Step 5: The big hand
Under the smile draw a tiny dot. From it draw 1 long hand pointing right, and a short stub.
Step 6: Twelve ticks
Inside the dial draw 12 short lines pointing in, like a clock. Make the top and bottom ones longer.
Tip Draw the top, bottom and side ones first, then 2 more between each pair.
Step 7: Start button
On top of the case draw a short post. On top of that draw a wide flat pill button.
Step 8: Side button
On the upper right of the case draw a small slanted tab poking out for the reset button.
Step 9: Sparkles, floor and shadow
Draw 4 sparkles in the air, a floor line under the stopwatch, and a thin flat oval for the shadow.
Step 10: Yellow and pink
Go over your lines, then colour the sparkles and the middle dot yellow, and the cheeks pink.
Step 11: Silver case
Colour the case, buttons and post light grey, and the shadow grey. Leave the dial and eyes white.
Step 12: Red hand
Colour the big hand and its stub red. Ready, set, go!
