How to Draw a Stool
Draw a stool in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the seat.
Step 1: The seat
A little above the middle draw a wide flat oval for the top of the seat, about a hand across.
Step 2: The seat edge
From the oval's left end go down 2 fingers, smile across under it, and back up to the right end.
Tip Keep the edge thin, just deep enough for a face.
Step 3: Two big eyes
On the front edge of the seat draw 2 big round eyes. Colour a big black dot in each.
Step 4: Smile and cheeks
Under the eyes draw a small U smile from eye to eye, and a small oval cheek beside each end.
Step 5: Two legs
From the seat's bottom curve draw 2 long legs slanting out: 2 lines down and a flat foot.
Step 6: The back leg
Between them, in the middle, draw a third leg straight down from the seat, as long as the others.
Step 7: Rungs
Halfway down, draw a thin bar from each front leg across to the back leg.
Step 8: The cushion
On the seat top draw a puffy cushion, a little in from the edge, and rub out the line inside.
Step 9: Ground and sparkles
Draw a ground line under the legs from left to right, and a sparkle star on each side.
Step 10: Pink cheeks, yellow sparkles
Go over your lines, then colour the cheeks pink and the sparkles yellow.
Step 11: Tan seat, red cushion
Colour the seat top tan around the cushion, and the cushion red.
Step 12: Wood stool
Colour the seat edge, legs and rungs wood brown, around the cheeks. Leave the eyes white. Your stool is ready!
