12 steps · Medium · about 9 min

Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the ball.

Print

  1. Step 1: The ball

In the middle of your paper draw a big fat oval with a point at each end, like a lemon.

Tip Fat in the middle, pointy at the ends.

  2. Step 2: Two big eyes

In the middle of the ball draw 2 big round eyes a finger apart, with a black dot in each.

  3. Step 3: Smile and cheeks

Under the eyes draw 1 wide U smile from eye to eye. Add a small oval cheek at each end.

  4. Step 4: Left stripe

Near the left point draw 2 curved lines from the top edge down to the bottom edge, a thumb apart.

  5. Step 5: Right stripe

Do the same near the right point: 2 curved lines from the top edge to the bottom edge.

  6. Step 6: The seam

Along the top of the ball draw a short straight seam with 4 little stitch lines across it.

  7. Step 7: The shadow

Under the middle of the ball draw a long flat oval for the shadow.

  8. Step 8: Ground and grass

From each side of the shadow, draw a ground line to the edge. Add 3 grass blades near its end.

  9. Step 9: Sparkles

Draw 3 sparkle stars around the ball.

  10. Step 10: Yellow stars

Colour the 3 sparkle stars yellow.

  11. Step 11: Pink cheeks, grey shadow

Colour the cheeks pink and the shadow grey.

  12. Step 12: Blue stripes

Colour the 2 end stripes blue. Leave the ball and eyes white, and your rugby ball is done!
