How to Draw a Stone Wall
Draw a stone wall in 10 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the long wall.
Step 1: The long wall
Start low left. Go up past the middle, across most of the paper, and down, stopping level with the start.
Step 2: Top stones
Along the top draw a long thin box of top stones, poking out past both ends, with 4 lines across.
Step 3: First row of stones
Inside the wall, just under the top, draw a row of 4 lumpy rounded stones with small gaps between them.
Step 4: Second row
Under the gaps draw 3 lumpy stones. At each end add a half stone, starting and stopping on the wall.
Step 5: Bottom row
Draw a last row of 4 lumpy stones along the bottom of the wall, shifted over again.
Step 6: The ground
Draw the ground line right across the paper under the wall, with a grass blade poking up at each end.
Step 7: Moss on top
On the top stones near the left end, draw a soft bumpy clump of moss.
Step 8: Sand wall, grey top
Colour the top stones light grey and the wall sand, going around all the lumpy stones.
Step 9: Grey stones
Colour all the lumpy stones grey, and the half stones at the ends too.
Step 10: Green moss
Colour the moss leaf green. Go over your lines, and your stone wall is done!
