How to Draw a Hospital
Draw a hospital in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the building.
Step 1: The building
Draw a big box, wider than it is tall, with straight sides and a flat bottom.
Tip Hospitals are big and boxy with lots of windows.
Step 2: Roof and sign
Draw a thin ledge poking out both sides. Start in its middle and draw a sign box back to it.
Step 3: The cross
Inside the sign draw a fat plus sign with square ends.
Step 4: The doors
Start in the middle of the bottom line. Draw a low step back to it. Add double doors with windows.
Step 5: The canopy
Over the doors draw a long thin canopy box. Add a post from each end down to the step.
Step 6: Top windows
Across the top of the building draw a row of 4 square windows, 2 on each side.
Step 7: More windows
Draw a second row of 4 square windows below them, the same way.
Step 8: The big cross
Between the windows, above the canopy, draw a big plus sign.
Step 9: Ground and bushes
From each bottom corner draw the ground line out to the side. Sit a small bumpy bush on each.
Step 10: White and sky blue
Leave the building and the sign white, and colour all the windows sky blue.
Step 11: Grey and green
Colour the roof ledge, the canopy and the step grey, and the bushes green.
Step 12: Red crosses
Colour both crosses bright red. Go over your lines and your hospital is done!
