How to Draw a Stick Figure
Draw a stick figure in 10 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the head.
Step 1: The head
Near the top of your paper draw a round head, a tiny bit narrower at the chin.
Tip Leave most of the page below for the body, arms and legs.
Step 2: The face
Below the middle draw 2 big round eyes with a dot and a shine. Add a tiny nose and smile.
Step 3: Eyebrows and hair
Add 2 eyebrows. Start on the left of the head, draw round tufts over the top, stop on the right.
Tip Add a curve across the forehead, then rub out the head line above.
Step 4: The body line
Start at the chin. Draw one straight line down and stop about 1 and a half heads below.
Step 5: Stick arms
Start on the body line. Draw 2 bent stick arms, left going down, right waving up. Stop at the wrists.
Step 6: Mitten hands
At the end of each arm draw a mitten with a little thumb bump.
Step 7: Stick legs
Start at the bottom of the body line. Draw 2 straight legs leaning apart and stop above the page bottom.
Step 8: Shoes and ground
At the bottom of each leg draw a rounded bean shoe, toe pointing out. Add a ground line under them.
Step 9: Peach face and hands
Colour the face and hands peach, around 2 cheek circles. Colour the cheeks pink. Leave the eyes white.
Step 10: Brown hair, red shoes
Colour the hair brown and the shoes red. Go over your lines. Done!
