How to Draw a Fairy
Draw a fairy in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the head.
Step 1: The head
Draw an egg head near the top of your paper. Start at the top, go round and end back there.
Tip Make the chin a bit narrower. Leave room either side for the wings.
Step 2: Face and pointed ears
Draw 2 eyes, a nose and a smile. From each side, draw a pointy ear out, ending on the head.
Step 3: Hair and bun
Start at brow level on the left. Go over the top, down the right, across the forehead. Add a bun.
Step 4: Neck and dress
Draw 2 neck lines under the chin. From the left one go out, down to a hem, and back up.
Step 5: Wings
Start on the dress at each shoulder. Swoop out to a round top, in, out to a round bottom, back.
Step 6: Arms
Start at the bottom of each sleeve. Draw 2 lines down for the arm and stop at the wrist.
Step 7: Mitten hands
Start at the outside of each wrist. Draw a round mitten with a thumb, and stop at the inside wrist.
Step 8: Magic wand
From the top of the right hand draw a stick up and out. Stop at a big 5-point star.
Step 9: Legs, slippers and ground
From the hem draw 2 lines down for each leg, getting closer. Stop at the ankle. Add slippers and ground.
Step 10: Peach skin, pink cheeks
Colour the face, ears, neck, arms, hands and legs peach, with pink cheeks. Leave the eyes white.
Step 11: Pink dress, yellow hair
Colour the dress and slippers pink, and the hair, bun and star yellow.
Step 12: Sky-blue wings
Colour the wings sky blue, around the arms and the star. Go over your lines.
