How to Draw a Stew
Draw a stew in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the rim.
Step 1: The rim
Above the middle draw a wide flat oval, as wide as your hand. This is the top of the bowl.
Step 2: The bowl
Start at the oval's left end. Draw a big deep U down and round, up to the right end.
Step 3: The foot
Start under the bowl on the left. Draw a short stand down, across, and up to the bowl again.
Step 4: The gravy
Inside the rim draw a second flat oval, a finger inside it, for the gravy.
Step 5: Carrots and potato
In the gravy draw 2 round carrot slices, one left and one right, and a chunky potato between them.
Step 6: Meat and peas
On the left draw a lumpy chunk of meat, and 3 tiny round peas here and there.
Step 7: Spoon and steam
On the right draw a spoon standing in the stew, its long handle leaning out. Add 3 steam lines above.
Step 8: Stripe and spots
Start on the left under the rim. Draw a bowed line across, stopping on the right. Add 4 spots below.
Step 9: The table
Draw a line under the foot from well left to well right.
Step 10: Orange carrots, tan potato
Colour the carrot slices orange and the potato tan.
Step 11: Blue band and spots
Colour the band under the rim and the spots blue, leaving the rim and the rest of the bowl white.
Step 12: Green peas, grey spoon
Colour the peas green and the spoon grey.
Step 13: Red meat, brown gravy
Go over your lines. Colour the meat dark red, then inside the gravy line brown, around the food and spoon.

Your finished drawing
Follow the steps above and this is where you end up: a stew, drawn by you.
