How to Draw a Stapler
Draw a stapler in 10 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the base.
Step 1: The base
Below the middle draw a long thin pill lying flat, as wide as your hand, for the base.
Step 2: The top arm
Above the base draw a long fat bar with a round top, tilted: left end up, right end down.
Tip The front lifts up like an open mouth ready to bite the paper.
Step 3: Two big eyes
On the arm, left of the middle, draw 2 big round eyes. Colour a big black dot in each.
Step 4: The hinge
At the back, between the arm and the base, draw a small box joining them: the hinge.
Step 5: The staple track
Under the arm draw a thin bar from the front back to the hinge.
Step 6: Rosy cheeks
Draw a small oval cheek on the arm out beside each eye, level with the eyes.
Step 7: A happy smile
Under the eyes, in between them, draw a small U smile on the arm.
Step 8: The ground
Draw a ground line under the base from side to side.
Step 9: Grey hinge, peach cheeks
Colour the cheeks peach, and the hinge and the staple track grey.
Step 10: Red arm, navy base
Colour the arm red around the eyes and cheeks, and the base navy. Leave the eyes white.
