How to Draw a Spring Roll
Draw a spring roll in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the first roll.
Step 1: The first roll
A little above the middle, draw a fat roll with round ends, tilting up to the right.
Tip Like a fat little log.
Step 2: A second roll
Under it, draw a longer flat roll. Start top right, go round the left end, stop bottom right.
Tip Rub out the first roll's lines inside the front roll.
Step 3: Wrapper flaps
On each roll, draw 1 slanted curve near one end, from its top edge down to the line below.
Step 4: The cut end
Across the front roll's open right end, draw a tall oval for the cut end, with a smaller oval inside.
Step 5: A shine
Inside the back roll's round right end, draw a short curve from its top toward its tip, for a shine.
Step 6: A plate
Draw a big oval plate round both rolls, with a gap all round. Add a rim oval a finger inside.
Tip Both rolls sit inside the rim.
Step 7: The table
Draw a long line under the plate, just touching its bottom.
Step 8: Cream ring
Colour the ring of the cut end cream, around the filling.
Step 9: Tan rolls
Colour both rolls tan, around the cut end.
Step 10: Green filling
Colour the filling green.
Step 11: Sky plate
Colour the plate sky blue, around the rolls, and your spring rolls are done!
