How to Draw Fish and Chips
Draw fish and chips in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: a plate.
Step 1: A plate
A little below the middle draw a big flat oval plate, as wide as your hand.
Step 2: The rim
Draw a second oval a finger inside the plate for the rim.
Step 3: The fish
On the left of the plate draw a big fat oval lying down, tilting up right, with a bumpy edge.
Tip Batter is bumpy, so let the line wobble in and out.
Step 4: A tail
On the left end draw a fish tail poking out: 2 points with a dip between them.
Step 5: 2 chips
Right of the fish draw 2 fat chips lying down: a shorter one in front, a longer one behind.
Step 6: 2 more chips
Above them draw 2 more chips, one leaning up and one lying right, tucked behind the chips below.
Step 7: Mushy peas
Between the fish and the top chips draw a small wobbly puddle of peas, with 3 tiny rounds on it.
Step 8: A lemon wedge
Under the fish's right end draw a half-round lemon wedge. Add a curved line inside and 3 short lines.
Step 9: Yellow chips and lemon
Go over your lines. Colour the chips and the lemon wedge yellow.
Step 10: Tan tail, ginger batter
Colour the tail tan and the battered fish ginger.
Step 11: Green peas, sky plate
Colour the mushy peas leaf green, then the plate sky blue around all the food.
