How to Draw a Spatula
Draw a spatula in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the blade.
Step 1: The blade
Near the top draw a wide blade leaning left: a big box with soft corners, narrower at the bottom.
Tip Lean it like a spatula in a hand, handle going down to the right.
Step 2: Two big eyes
Low on the blade draw 2 round eyes a finger apart. Colour a black dot in each, with a shine.
Step 3: Smile and cheeks
Under the eyes draw a small U smile from eye to eye, and a little oval cheek beside each end.
Step 4: Three slots
Across the top of the blade draw 3 long thin slots side by side, like tall boxes with round ends.
Step 5: The neck
From the middle of the blade's bottom draw a short narrow neck: 2 close lines going down and out.
Step 6: The handle
From the neck draw a long fat handle down to the right, a thumb wide, rounded at the end.
Step 7: A hanging hole
Near the end of the handle draw a small round hole.
Step 8: Sparkles
Draw 3 sparkle stars around the spatula, each with 4 points like a plus sign.
Step 9: Yellow sparkles, pink cheeks
Go over your lines, then colour the sparkle stars yellow and the cheeks pink.
Step 10: Grey blade
Colour the blade and the neck grey around the eyes, cheeks and slots. Leave the eyes and slots white.
Step 11: Red handle
Colour the handle red, leaving the hole white, and your spatula is ready to flip pancakes!
