How to Draw a Pita

10 steps · Medium · about 8 min

Draw a pita in 10 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.

Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the round pita.

Print

  1. Step 1: The round pita

Right of the middle draw a big round pita standing up, about as wide as your hand.

  2. Step 2: Puffy rim

Just inside its edge draw a thin line all the way round, for the puffy rim.

  3. Step 3: The half pita

On the left draw a half pita in front: a big U, tipped a little, with a wavy top.

Tip Rub out the round pita's lines inside the half pita.

  4. Step 4: Lettuce

From the wavy top near the right corner draw frilly lettuce spilling over the left corner. Stop on the side.

Tip Rub out the round pita's lines inside the lettuce.

  5. Step 5: Toasty patches

On the round pita draw 3 wavy ovals for toasty patches, each a different size.

  6. Step 6: A plate

Draw a wide flat oval plate under both pitas, with its back edge hiding behind them.

  7. Step 7: Tan pitas

Go over your lines, then colour both pitas tan, but not the lettuce or the toasty patches.

  8. Step 8: Green lettuce

    Colour the lettuce green.

  9. Step 9: Golden patches

Colour the toasty patches golden brown.

  10. Step 10: Sky plate

Colour the plate sky blue around the pitas.
