How to Draw a Passion Fruit

11 steps · Medium · about 8 min

Draw a passion fruit in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.

Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the fruit.

Print

  1. Step 1: The fruit

A little left of the middle of your paper draw a big round ball. Leave room on the right.

Tip Keep the line smooth and round, a little taller than wide.

  2. Step 2: Stem and dents

Draw a short stem on top, wider at the bottom. Add 2 small dents near the edge, far apart.

  3. Step 3: The cut half

To the right draw a circle a bit smaller than the fruit, overlapping it. Rub out the fruit line inside.

Tip The half sits in front, so the fruit hides behind it.

  4. Step 4: The rind

Inside the half draw a second circle a finger inside the first, for the thick rind.

  5. Step 5: The pulp

Inside that draw a third circle, close to the second. The thin ring between is the white pith.

Tip 3 circles inside each other, like a target.

  6. Step 6: The seeds

Dot 7 little ovals all over the pulp for seeds, tipped different ways, none touching.

  7. Step 7: A shine

Inside the left side of the fruit draw a thin oval sliver for a shine.

  8. Step 8: The ground

Draw the ground line from edge to edge, touching the bottom of the fruit and the half.

  9. Step 9: Orange pulp

Colour the pulp in the middle of the half orange.

  10. Step 10: Purple and brown

Colour the fruit and the half's outer ring purple, the stem brown. Leave the shine and thin ring white.

  11. Step 11: Black seeds

Colour every seed black, and your passion fruit is done!
