How to Draw Soft Serve
Draw soft serve in 10 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the cone.
Step 1: The cone
Start on the left below the middle. Draw a long line down to a round tip, then back up.
Tip A tall skinny V, like an upside-down party hat. Stop level with the start.
Step 2: First swirl
Start left of the cone top. Draw 6 fat bumps, a C up each end, and a saggy top line.
Step 3: Second swirl
Start at each end of the saggy line. Draw a smaller C up, then join the 2 tops.
Tip Each swirl is a bit narrower than the one below.
Step 4: Third swirl
Start at each end of the new saggy line. Draw an even smaller C up, then join the tops.
Step 5: Curly tip
Start at the left end of the top line. Curl a point up and over, down to the right end.
Step 6: Waffle lines
Start on the left edge of the cone. Slant 3 lines down to the right edge, and 3 back.
Step 7: Sprinkles
Draw 5 little ovals scattered over the swirls, each one tilted a different way.
Step 8: A drip
Start on the 3rd bump of the lip. Draw a fat drip down and back up to the bump.
Tip Rub out the bump's line inside the drip, so the cream runs down.
Step 9: Cream soft-serve
Go over your lines, then colour the swirls, the curly tip and the drip cream, around the sprinkles.
Step 10: Tan cone, yellow sprinkles
Colour the cone tan and the sprinkles yellow.
