How to Draw a Sock Puppet Dragon
Draw a sock puppet dragon in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: sock.
Step 1: Sock
In the middle draw a sock: up, over a round head, into a big open V mouth, back down.
Step 2: Googly eyes
On the head draw 2 big googly eyes, the same size, with black dots looking right and white shines.
Step 3: Open mouth
From the tip of the top lip, draw a curve bulging right down to the tip of the bottom lip.
Step 4: Felt fangs
Start on the top lip and draw 2 little V fangs hanging down, each one ending back on the lip.
Step 5: Back spikes
Down the back of the head, on the left, draw 3 triangle spikes sticking out.
Step 6: Flame
From deep inside the mouth draw a flame that grows wide past the lips and ends in 3 points.
Step 7: Cuff
Near the bottom draw a line across the sock for the cuff, then 6 short lines down to the bottom.
Step 8: Sparkles
Draw 4 four-point sparkles in the space around the puppet, not touching it.
Step 9: Orange and yellow
Go over your lines, then colour the spikes and the flame orange and the sparkles yellow.
Step 10: Red mouth
Colour the inside of the mouth red around the flame, leaving the fangs white.
Step 11: Green sock
Colour the sock green around the eyes and mouth, and leave the eyes white.
