How to Draw a Money Stack
Draw a money stack in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the stack front.
Step 1: The stack front
Low on your paper draw a long box, about 3 times as wide as it is tall.
Tip This is the front edge of a thick stack of bills.
Step 2: The top bill
From the box's top corners draw 2 short lines slanting up right. Join them with a line across.
Tip Keep the 2 slanted lines the same length and the same slant.
Step 3: The end
Start at the bottom right corner. Slant up right the same way, then go straight up to the top.
Step 4: Paper band
Start on the far edge. Draw 2 slanted lines across the top, then down to the bottom of the front.
Tip A paper band holds the bills together in a neat bundle.
Step 5: Dollar sign
On the front of the band draw an S. Add a straight line down through it.
Step 6: Bill edges
Start on the left. Draw 3 lines along the front, skip the band, and stop at the corner.
Tip Each line is the edge of some bills, so space them evenly.
Step 7: End edges
From the end of each line draw a slanted line up the end. Stop at the far edge.
Step 8: Printed frame
On each side of the band draw a slanted frame on the top, a little inside the edge.
Tip Start and stop each frame on the band.
Step 9: Table and shadow
Draw a table line along the bottom of the stack, past both ends. Add a flat curve under it.
Step 10: Cream band
Go over your lines. Colour the paper band cream and the shadow grey.
Step 11: Light green top
Colour the top bill light green on both sides of the band.
Step 12: Dark green sides
Colour the front and the end dark green. Your stack of money is done!
