How to Draw a Soccer Field
Draw a soccer field in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the pitch.
Step 1: The pitch
Draw a big rectangle, wider than tall, with room at each side for the goals. This is the pitch.
Step 2: The ball
In the middle of the pitch draw a round ball, a bit less than half as tall as the pitch.
Tip The ball sits on the kick-off spot.
Step 3: Two big eyes
On the ball draw 2 round eyes side by side, each with a big black dot and a shine.
Step 4: Smile and cheeks
Under the eyes draw a small smile, and a tiny oval cheek on each side.
Step 5: Ball patches
Draw 3 little five-sided patches on the ball: one above the eyes and one near the bottom on each side.
Step 6: Halfway line and circle
Draw a line from top edge to bottom edge, jumping over the ball. Add a big circle round the ball.
Step 7: The big boxes
At each end draw a tall box sticking in from the end line, starting and stopping on the line.
Step 8: Small boxes
Inside each big box draw a smaller box the same way, starting and stopping on the end line.
Step 9: Goals and nets
Outside each end line draw a little goal box, starting and stopping on the line. Add 2 net lines across.
Step 10: Corner arcs
In each corner of the pitch draw a tiny quarter-circle from one edge to the other.
Step 11: Green grass, pink cheeks
Colour the cheeks pink. Colour the pitch green around the ball. Leave the ball and the eyes white.
Step 12: Black patches
Colour the 3 ball patches black. Go over your lines and kick off!
