How to Draw a Rolling Pin
Draw a rolling pin in 10 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the barrel.
Step 1: The barrel
Across the middle draw a long fat barrel lying on its side, like a big pill, with round ends.
Tip Leave room at each end for the handles.
Step 2: 2 big eyes
On the barrel draw 2 big round eyes, a finger apart. Colour a black dot in each, leaving a shine.
Step 3: Smile and cheeks
Under the eyes draw a U smile, eye to eye, and a little oval cheek beside each end.
Step 4: End rings
Near each end draw a curved line from the barrel's top edge down to its bottom edge, bowing outward.
Step 5: 2 handles
From the middle of each end draw a short thin handle sticking straight out, with a round end.
Step 6: Round knobs
Over each handle end draw a round ball, a bit fatter than the handle. Rub out the line inside.
Step 7: Table line
Draw a table line under the barrel, starting past the left knob and stopping past the right knob.
Tip Lift your pencil where the table would cross the barrel.
Step 8: Flour piles
Start on the table under each handle, draw a small bumpy pile of flour and stop back on the line.
Step 9: Tan handles, pink cheeks
Colour the handles and the knobs tan, and the cheeks pink.
Step 10: Wood barrel
Colour the barrel wood brown, around the eyes and cheeks. Leave the eyes white. Your rolling pin is ready!
