How to Draw a Keyboard
Draw a keyboard in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the keyboard.
Step 1: The keyboard
Across the middle of your paper, draw a long low box with soft corners, twice as wide as tall.
Step 2: The panel line
Start halfway down the left edge. Draw a line straight across to the right edge.
Step 3: Two big eyes
Draw 2 big egg eyes in the middle of the panel, each with a black dot and white shine.
Step 4: Smile and cheeks
Draw a U smile under the eyes. Add a small oval cheek beside each end.
Step 5: White keys
Under the panel line, draw 9 straight lines down to the bottom edge, evenly spaced. That makes 10 keys.
Step 6: Black keys
Draw short black keys hanging down from the panel line: 2, a gap, 3, a gap, then 2.
Step 7: Knobs
Draw a small round knob in each top corner of the panel, each with a little tick.
Step 8: Two legs
Draw a leg under each end of the keyboard, slanting out a little.
Step 9: Ground line
Draw a long ground line under the legs, starting past the left leg and stopping past the right leg.
Step 10: Pink cheeks, blue knobs
Colour the cheeks pink and the knobs blue.
Step 11: Grey legs, slate panel
Colour the legs grey. Colour the panel slate grey around the cheeks and knobs, leaving the eyes white.
Step 12: Colour black keys
Colour the black keys black. Your keyboard is ready to play!
