How to Draw a Snowy Pine Tree
Draw a snowy pine tree in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: top tier.
Step 1: Top tier
Near the top, start at a point. Slant down left, draw 4 bumps across, and slant back up to it.
Step 2: Middle tier
Start on the bottom of the top tier. Draw a longer slant down, 5 bumps across, and up to it.
Step 3: Bottom tier
Start on the bottom of the middle tier. Draw a longer slant down, 6 bumps across, and up to it.
Step 4: Trunk
From the bumps under the bottom tier, draw a trunk down, wider at the ground, back up to the bumps.
Step 5: Snow on top
Start on the left slant of the top tier. Draw 3 droopy bumps across and stop on the right slant.
Tip Droopy bumps hang down like dripping icing.
Step 6: Snow in the middle
On the middle tier, start on the left slant, draw 4 droopy bumps and stop on the right slant.
Step 7: Snow lower down
On the bottom tier, start on the left slant, draw 5 droopy bumps and stop on the right slant.
Step 8: Ground
Draw a long ground line under the trunk, a little wider than the tree on each side.
Step 9: Falling snowflakes
Draw 6 little round snowflakes in the sky, 3 on each side of the tree.
Step 10: White snow
Colour the snow on every tier and the snowflakes white, or leave them as white paper.
Step 11: Green branches
Colour the branches under the snow leaf green, right down to the bumpy edges.
Step 12: Brown trunk
Colour the trunk wood brown. Go over your lines and your snowy pine tree is done!
