How to Draw a Log Pile
Draw a log pile in 10 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the bottom row.
Step 1: The bottom row
Low on your paper draw 3 circles in a row, touching, each as big as a plum.
Step 2: The middle row
On top of the bottom row draw 2 more circles the same size, each in the dip between 2 logs.
Step 3: The top log
On top of those 2 draw one last circle in the dip, so the logs make a pyramid.
Step 4: Tree rings
Inside each circle draw a smaller circle for a tree ring.
Step 5: Log middles
In the middle of each tree ring draw a small filled-in dot for the heart of the log.
Step 6: Cracks
On each log end draw one short crack line from the outside edge in towards the ring, stopping short.
Step 7: The ground
Draw a long straight ground line right under the bottom row, from far left to far right.
Step 8: Grass
From the ground line on each side of the pile flick 2 little grass blades up.
Step 9: Tan log ends
Colour inside every tree ring tan, around the dark dot in the middle.
Step 10: Brown bark
Colour the bark brown, around each tan log end out to the circle. Your log pile is done!

Your finished drawing
