How to Draw a Snowman Family
Draw a snowman family in 13 steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: dad's snowballs.
Step 1: Dad's snowballs
On the left, draw dad: a round head, a bigger snowball under it, the biggest at the bottom.
Step 2: Dad's top hat
On dad's head, draw a flat brim and a tall hat. Add a band line from side to side.
Step 3: Dad's face
Give dad 2 round coal eyes, a pointy carrot nose sticking out right, and a grin of 5 coal dots.
Step 4: Mum's snowballs
On the right, draw mum a little smaller: a head, a bigger snowball, and the biggest at the bottom.
Step 5: Mum's hat and face
On mum's head, draw a knit hat with a pompom. Give her coal eyes, a carrot nose and a grin.
Step 6: The baby
In front, between dad and mum, draw the baby: a little round head on one slightly bigger snowball.
Step 7: Baby's cap and face
Give the baby a little knit cap like mum's, 2 coal eyes, a tiny carrot nose and a 3-dot grin.
Step 8: Stick arms
From each middle snowball, draw 2 thin stick arms, round at the tip. Add a twig on each outer arm.
Step 9: Scarves
Draw a scarf around dad's neck, knot and tail on the right. Give mum one, knot on the left.
Step 10: Buttons and snow
Add 3 coal buttons on dad, 3 on mum, 2 on the baby. Draw a ground line with snow bumps.
Step 11: Orange noses
Leave the snow white. Colour the 3 carrot noses orange.
Step 12: Red hats and scarves
Colour mum's and baby's hats red, leaving each band white. Colour dad's hat band and both scarves red.
Step 13: Brown sticks, black hat
Colour the stick arms brown. Colour dad's top hat black around the red band, and your family is ready!
