How to Draw Snow
Draw snow in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the cloud top.
Step 1: The cloud top
Start on the left of the middle. Draw a rainbow of 5 big bumps over, ending level with the start.
Step 2: The cloud bottom
Start where the bumps ended. Draw 3 shallow bumps hanging down across to the left, until you meet the start.
Step 3: Two big eyes
Below the middle of the cloud draw 2 big eggy eyes, one eye apart. Black dot and shine in each.
Step 4: Smile and cheeks
Under the eyes draw a wide U smile from eye to eye. Add an oval cheek beside each end.
Step 5: A snowflake
Under the middle of the cloud, leaving a gap, draw a snowflake: 3 short lines crossing like a star.
Step 6: Big snowflakes
Under the cloud draw 2 more snowflakes the same way, one on the left and one on the right.
Step 7: More snowflakes
Draw 3 more snowflakes: one in the middle, lower down, and a small one out at each side.
Step 8: Snow drift
Near the bottom, start low left. Draw soft bumpy hills across, ending low right. Add a flat ground line under.
Step 9: A snowy pine tree
On the right, above the ground, draw a pointy triangle. Zigzag a snow cap, starting and stopping on its sides.
Tip Add a small box trunk under the tree, down to the ground.
Step 10: Pink cheeks, grey cloud
Colour the cheeks pink, then the cloud grey around the eyes and cheeks. Leave the eyes white.
Step 11: Green tree, wood trunk
Colour the pine tree leaf green below its snow cap and the little trunk wood brown.
Step 12: White snow
Colour the snow drift white around the tree, and the tree's snow cap white. Go over your lines!
