How to Draw a Snow Plow
Draw a snow plow in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: cab and bed.
Step 1: Cab and bed
Start low left. Go up over a tall cab, along a level bed rail, and down the back to stop.
Tip The cab is a tall loaf; the bed behind is half as tall.
Step 2: Floor with wheel bumps
From the bottom of the front wall draw the floor with 2 big rainbow bumps, ending at the back wall.
Tip The bumps are big: each nearly a quarter of the truck long.
Step 3: Headlight eye and smile
On the front wall draw a big headlight eye with a black dot, a smile under it, and a bumper.
Tip The bumper is a fat level pill over the bottom front corner.
Step 4: Two fat tyres
Under each bump draw a big circle for a tyre, a little smaller than the bump, hanging below the floor.
Tip Both tyres the same size, bottoms level, well below the floor.
Step 5: The big windscreen
A finger in from the front draw a big windscreen that follows the corner round and flat under the roof.
Step 6: The door window
A finger behind the windscreen draw a chunky rounded rectangle, as tall as the windscreen, for the door window.
Step 7: The V stripe
Start under the door window. Draw a level line forward, dip to a V, and stop on the front wall.
Tip The V points at the headlight and stays clear of it.
Step 8: Seam, light and beacon
From the cab's back wall draw a line down to the floor. Add a handle, tail light and roof beacon.
Step 9: Plow blade and snow
In front of the truck draw a tall curved blade standing on the road. Pile 3 snow bumps against it.
Tip Join the blade to the bumper with a short push bar.
Step 10: Hubcaps and road
In each tyre draw a smaller circle with a dot. Draw a straight road under the tyres, just touching them.
Step 11: Orange truck, black tyres
Go over your lines. Colour the truck orange, around the headlight, bumper, windows and tail light. Colour the tyres black.
Step 12: Sky windows
Colour the windscreen and the door window sky blue, leaving a little slanted shine white high in the windscreen.
Step 13: Yellow blade and beacon
Colour the blade, push bar, beacon and tail light yellow. Leave the snow, headlight, bumper and hubcaps white.
