How to Draw a Slingshot
Draw a slingshot in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the outside lines.
Step 1: The outside lines
Start top left. Curve down and in, go down the handle, across the bottom, and back up. Stop top right.
Tip Make the right side match the left, like a letter Y.
Step 2: The inside V
Start on the left tip. Curve over, down inside to a deep V, and up. Stop on the right tip.
Tip Keep both arms the same width all the way up.
Step 3: The pouch
Between the arms, a little above the V, draw a small box on its side with round corners.
Step 4: Band ties
Near the top of each arm draw 2 short lines across it. Start and stop on the arm's sides.
Step 5: Rubber bands
From each tie draw a band of 2 lines, sagging down to a top corner of the pouch.
Step 6: Wood grain
On the handle draw 2 short lines going up, one in the middle and one from the bottom.
Step 7: The ground
Draw a straight ground line under the handle, from left to right.
Step 8: Two pebbles
Start on the ground, draw a pebble like a hill, and stop on the ground. Add a smaller one.
Step 9: Grey pebbles
Go over your lines, then colour the 2 pebbles grey.
Step 10: Wooden fork
Colour the fork and its handle wood brown. Leave the ties white for now.
Step 11: Red bands
Colour the 2 ties and the 2 rubber bands red.
Step 12: Brown pouch
Colour the pouch dark brown. Your slingshot is ready!

Your finished drawing
