How to Draw an Electric Guitar
Draw an electric guitar in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the body.
Step 1: The body
Low down, draw the body: 2 horns with a gap between, a small waist and a fat round bottom.
Tip The right horn is taller.
Step 2: The neck
Start on the body between the horns, draw a long thin upside-down U, and stop back on the body.
Step 3: The headstock
On top of the neck, draw a rounded paddle. Add 4 little round pegs on its edges, 2 each side.
Step 4: Pickups and bridge
Under the neck, draw 2 short flat bars for the pickups. Add a third bar lower down for the bridge.
Step 5: The strings
Draw 4 long lines down the middle, close together, starting on the headstock and stopping on the bridge.
Step 6: Frets
Across the neck, draw 4 short lines, evenly spaced, from the left edge to the right edge.
Step 7: Knobs
On the right side of the body, beside the bridge, draw 2 small round knobs one above the other.
Step 8: Music notes
Draw 2 small music notes floating beside the guitar, one on each side.
Step 9: Grey knobs and pegs
Colour the knobs and pegs grey.
Step 10: Red body
Colour the guitar body red, going around the knobs, pickups and bridge.
Step 11: Wood neck, black pickups
Colour the neck and headstock wood brown, and the pickups and bridge black. Your electric guitar is done!
