How to Draw a Slide
Draw a slide in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the platform.
Step 1: The platform
A little above the middle, on the left, draw a flat plank for the top platform, about a finger thick.
Tip Keep it high on the left: the slide swoops down to the right.
Step 2: The ladder
From the bottom of the platform draw 2 lines down to the ground, a thumb apart. Add 5 rungs across.
Step 3: The hand rails
From the platform above each ladder line, draw a hand rail up, ending in a candy cane hook.
Step 4: The slide
Start at the platform's top right corner. Draw a thick slide swooping down to the right, flat at the end.
Tip Stop before the edge of the paper.
Step 5: Slide edge
From the platform's top right corner draw a little up, then along the top of the slide to its end.
Step 6: Legs
Under the middle of the slide draw 2 legs from the slide down to the ground, with a bar between.
Step 7: The ground
Draw a long ground line across the bottom, under the ladder, legs and slide. Add 3 tufts of grass.
Step 8: Ball and sun
Left of the ladder draw a small ball on the ground with a stripe. Add a small sun top right.
Step 9: Yellow sun
Go over your lines. Colour the sun yellow.
Step 10: Red slide
Colour the slide red, and the thin strip along its top edge too.
Step 11: Blue ball, slate platform
Colour the ball blue and the platform slate grey. Your slide is done!

Your finished drawing
Follow the steps above and this is where you end up: a slide, drawn by you.
