How to Draw a Pool Noodle

10 steps · Medium · about 8 min

Draw a pool noodle in 10 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.

Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the noodle.

Print

  1. Step 1: The noodle

Across the middle of your paper draw a long fat tube bent in a low, wide arch.

Tip Keep it low and wide, much wider than it is tall.

  2. Step 2: The round ends

On each end draw a tall oval for the round end. Add a small oval inside each for the hole.

Tip Noodles are hollow, so each end is a ring.

  3. Step 3: Two big eyes

In the middle of the arch draw 2 big round eyes with a black dot and a shine.

  4. Step 4: Smile and cheeks

Under the eyes draw a wide smile, and a small oval cheek out to each side.

  5. Step 5: Water line

Start at the left side. Draw a long wavy water line across to the right side, behind the noodle ends.

  6. Step 6: Lower wave

Under it draw a second wavy line, from the left side across to the right side.

  7. Step 7: Sparkles

Draw a 4-point sparkle near each top corner of your paper.

  8. Step 8: Pink cheeks, yellow sparkles

Colour the cheeks pink and the sparkles yellow.

  9. Step 9: Orange noodle

Colour the noodle and its round ends orange, around the eyes, cheeks and holes. Leave the eyes white.

  10. Step 10: Blue water, grey holes

Colour the water blue to the bottom, around the ends, and the holes dark grey. Your noodle is done!
