How to Draw an Archery Target

10 steps · Medium · about 8 min

Draw an archery target in 10 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.

Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the target.

Print

  1. Step 1: The target

In the middle of your paper, a little high, draw one big round circle nearly as wide as the page.

  2. Step 2: Happy face

In the middle draw 2 big round eyes with a shine. Below them draw a small U smile.

  3. Step 3: Two more rings

Inside the big circle draw a second circle a thumb in. Then draw a third circle inside that.

  4. Step 4: The bullseye

Draw a fourth circle inside. Then draw a small circle between the eyes and the smile for the bullseye nose.

  5. Step 5: The stand

From under the circle, draw 2 narrow legs slanting out to near the page bottom. Join them with a bar.

  6. Step 6: Ground and grass

Draw a straight ground line under the stand. Flick 2 pointy grass blades up from it on each side.

  7. Step 7: Sparkles

Draw 3 sparkle stars around the target. Each one has 4 points like a plus sign.

  8. Step 8: Yellow nose and stars

Colour the bullseye nose and the 3 sparkle stars yellow.

  9. Step 9: Red middle, blue ring

Colour the middle circle red around the eyes and nose. Colour the next ring out blue. Keep the eyes white.

  10. Step 10: Brown stand, black ring

Colour the stand brown and the next ring out black. Keep the outside ring white. Go over your lines.
