How to Draw Uneven Bars
Draw uneven bars in 10 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the low bar.
Step 1: The low bar
A little above the middle, on the left, draw a long thin bar with round ends.
Tip Leave room above it and on the right for the high bar.
Step 2: Low bar posts
Under the bar, near each end, draw a tall thin post straight down. Give each post a small flat foot.
Tip Make both posts the same length.
Step 3: The high bar
High up and a bit to the right, draw a second long thin bar, just as long.
Step 4: High bar posts
Under the high bar draw 2 longer posts with flat feet. They stop higher up than the first feet.
Tip The left post goes behind the low bar, so skip over the bar.
Step 5: The mat
Draw a big slanted box on the floor around all 4 feet, for the mat.
Tip The front and back edges are flat. The 2 short sides slant the same way.
Step 6: A thick mat
Draw a short line down from the 3 front corners. Join them along the bottom.
Tip Start at the mat's front left corner and stop at its back right corner.
Step 7: Wooden bars
Go over your lines. Colour the 2 bars light brown, like wood.
Step 8: Grey posts
Colour the 4 posts and their feet grey.
Step 9: Blue mat
Colour the top of the mat blue, around the posts and feet.
Step 10: Dark blue edges
Colour the mat's 2 thin edges dark blue. Your uneven bars are ready for a gymnast!
